So you’re tryin’ to raise funds for your mid-life crisis But your nest egg is lined with a bedding of vices Gettin’ crowded in there with all those fancy devices But to give any back has you thinkin’ twice Then an hour goes by and it seems like a daydream When your life has become nothin’ like you’ve seen Am I in the middle of your demographic Do you predict my moods like a telepathic Do you count all my votes, and then do you graph it Does my bell curve ring out He’s just gotta have it Then an hour goes by and it seems like a daydream When your life has supplied whatever you need So you’re tryin’ to raise funds for your mid-life crisis So you can sit out the siege and still afford the high prices And you can have a fresh piece of whatever entices But to give any back has you thinkin’ twice Another hour goes by and its closer to payday When you look back on this, hey how was your heyday?

Vertigo 04:02
High or low Just don’t look where you're going Off the road Just good intentions showing I can see these aren’t the words you’re looking for Its not me lining them up at your door Yes or no The facts are sometimes fleeting [About-faced struck-through switched and replaced] We all know the arguments are heating [Clamoring and taking up space] I can see these aren’t the words you want to hear Its not me whispering them in your ear Dizzy Spinning Wide-eyed vertigo Rose-colored images You gotta let ‘em go The daily dose that cures whatever ails ya [Dose-a-day the ailings away] I’m the ghost that comforts and assails ya [There’s nothing that I can’t send your way] I can be anything you think of me Its not me dreaming up the fantasies Dizzy Spinning World-view vertigo All this stimulus You gotta let it go You just ought to let it go Your full moon's showing You just ought to let it go I think you know it You really ought to let 'em go I think you know

Seize the day That’s what they say And let your hair down Cast your spell You do it well When your hair’s all hangin’ down And when it hangs down You’ll see what you wanna see Say all you have to say Fade in Fade out But make ‘em notice One day Today You’ll get your focus And see what you wanna see Say all you have to say Feel how you wanna feel Everything Everyday So what’ll it be? We got it We got it right here Choose your potion Wade in Wade out Pick your ocean
4.
No matter how it sounds to you No matter how it tastes Don't matter if its wrapped and sent with love And if its yours to take You oh so in control of all under your skin You never let 'em know the places that you've been She gathered all her thoughts for him She had something to say Our worlds just spin around like marbles in a glass Here comes the future looking oh so like the past No matter if there's nothing else to do We'll do it all again Her thoughts just walk around and gather what they need Although she's said it all he hasn't heard a thing Don't matter if its wrapped and sent with love
5.
Picassos 04:54
Move a little closer To where you ought to be Stake a place inside your head where you can kick up your feet Now that you’re all listening And fully up to speed Pull yourself up by the roots Climb down the family tree Its time you had it all The time has slipped its getting late Its time to dream Too soon to shake awake Ask a couple questions With answers obvious Find someone to fill your blanks Draw Picassos in your dust Imagine all murals painted brightly on the walls Picture yourself chipping off and letting the chips fall You can have 'em all The time has slipped its getting late Its time to dream Too soon to shake awake So hit the clock and head back in The action’s there Its hero time again
6.
Happen 03:46
By the way… You shoulda let it happen You gotta let it happen ‘Cuz if you let it happen You’d ride the world bazaar Your private shooting star shining on me You gotta let it happen Have a little fun with everything you’ve done Don’t be so serious You’re better delirious on me You gotta let it happen Droppin’ down your arms and wrappin’ all your charms around me
7.
Coming Days 03:22
Its all the things you do and what you say Its all the things you think and what you throw away Its not the bad things that you do Its your blinding point of view You hear a lot about the coming days But predictions of the future just get in the way If they don’t share your vision of the benefits of indecision You hear some more about the coming days Our little perturbation moving in to stay All the changes have begun Punctuated equilibrium You hear it all again it must be true Everybody’s talking blaming you know who Its not the bad things that you do You’re just living like a fool So here it comes again another chance To rally misled masses with you new defense There’s no action only talking Time this bullshit started walking The talking just goes on and days roll by Here comes another heat wave drying out your eyes Is that part of the prediction Are the models only fiction Is there truth in your depiction Every point has contradictions You got up on the stage The world was on your knee And in the party haze we pass the days You get a little older days roll by You come to realize the sparkle in your eyes Has gotten duller and somewhat faded You never thought you’d be so jaded Its not the things you do and things you say Your reckoning is based on what’s left in your wake What did you learn this time around Skip your turn this time around
8.
A new discovery No more mystery Oh the flattery now Sign the guarantee Start the forgery Void the warranty now Now they're asking your opinion The flattery oh everybody cares Maybe its an interview You wanna see your words in quotes somewhere Don't you? A new discovery Name it what you please Shape your legacy Soak in the revelry Swing from the drapery Be all you wanna be Because its alright to lose your mind Just shake it loose and scream until they stare You wanna splash some ripples through the chaos sending fractals everywhere Don't you? A new discovery A change in the strategy Rewriting history Brand new celebrity Paint the society Surrounded by bended knees
9.
I'd give you reason I'd give you rhyme I'd give you treason if I had the time So what if that's the way it is I offer everything to you The highest bid But you don't want me to There was no one Then there was you You looked at everything You've chosen few I'd give you no restrain I'd walk your dog in the pouring rain But you don't want me to Anywhere Anytime The timing's good and the words all rhyme When you’re wishing you could turn back time And you’re shadowcasting long black lines Mutter a toast to what you’ve left behind I'd breath you new life A brand new start I'd take the pledge if I had a heart So what if that’s the way it is I offer up to you my life to live But you don't want me to
10.
The new momentum now has to fuel itself in violation Of every natural law on the books With all our worries now we still come up with many more ways To fantasize ourselves in control But the gold loses its luster buried in the dirt around your feet Six billion of us now We hit the mark October that year Many many more on the way With all the counting now All the evidence and inconvenience Of buying back the things that we stole But the gold loses its luster and piles up like dirt around your feet No money and no school But no one's fooling you You found your street The social trends are in It’s a trendy way of acting social Ride whatever wave ‘til it breaks The list is shorter now of who approves my information And satisfies the need they create You walk away sometime Your body and your mind on holiday These ways are new just like the first A dry undying thirst Another day
11.
All waiting there to be All I believe The just outside staying there Beyond the reach The I don’t care The closing eyes are looking out again The coming true The me and you A life of days like that The story stirs Presents itself to you You read the lines and realize That crazy look, its in your eyes again The coming true The me and you I like my days like that
12.
So It Goes 04:35
I'm the lucky one, or it seems sometimes I'm the only one with this on my mind I'm the lucky one in the pouring rain Soaking up the sun and what else remains I'm the lucky one Guess its my turn now Having all the fun that's been handed out And if there's anything that I want I can have it I can have it And if there's anything that I want I can have it I have it I'm the lucky one, or it seems sometimes I'm the only one with this on my mind I'm the lucky one in the pouring rain Soaking up the sun Guess I got it made I'm the lucky one Guess its my turn now Having all the fun that's been handed out And so so it goes at the speed of light I metamorphose every single night But then so do you Yeah, you're lucky too On a scale of 10, no one else will do And if there's anything that I want I can have it I can have it And if there's anything that I want I can have it I have it
13.
Another day Another day spent going over The words that tell the story Careful that you don’t say something wrong If anything is said at all Another day Another night spent tossing over Was it sharing or just selfish Therapy or foolish in your eyes That were always smiling Smiling Admiring your stylings Life’s too short to let it get away Charming Smiling A manner so beguiling I can’t say everything I want to say Another night Another night to think it over Is it better with you knowing Better if you try to understand I’ll put it in your hands Another dream Another dream of what there might be Another time and other chances To see what’s going on inside of you Because outside I see Smiling Charming A laughter so disarming Life’s too long to let it get away Charming Smiling A look so mesmerizing I can’t say everything I want to say All I know about you touched my heart I guess you really got to me this time You got to me You didn’t even try

Testimony 04:23
I have seen the clouds roll through my skies With their changing faces I have faced the music in my mind You got a song you play it If I could count the times I’ve tried to relive days gone by I’d fall in my own footsteps Its not the world There's nothing you can do to make a change I have felt the flying gliding soaring through the skies Wind through my hair like fingers I have often wondered what it takes to stay so high And keep the brilliant sun bright in my eyes In everything I see that means a lot to me I have seen a light shine in the corners of my mind So many things are stuffed away back in there And I have often tried to hide a see-right-thru-disguise And keep the lights out of the corners You wonder why There's nothing you can do Its not the world Its what you’re looking through And how it looks to you That's just the way things are anymore Its not the world There's nothing you can do Its not the world Its what you’re looking through So how's it look to you I have seen the world spin round more than 13,000 times

about

CD of the Week on Tampa's WMNF 88.5 "Sonic Detour"

"Barbed electric and rippling acoustic guitars provide a solid bed for Abbey Road-style harmonies" - Tampa Tribune

“Brilliant pop music; tremendous production, excellent musicianship, clever and literate lyrics. Beatles meets T-Rex." - Hybridmagazine.com

The record consists of a thick dose of loud guitars and drums, quiet acoustic guitar and piano, poppy and not-so-poppy harmonies, and lyrics that can either be straight up or vaguely implicative, depending on your mindset. Sonically, the songs range from the Led Zeppy crunch of “Seems Like a Daydream” to the slinky, spacey dark colorings of “Picassos” and “Vertigo” and the pastoral lilt of “Days Like That.” Song subjects include enthusiastic acknowledgment of life’s rich pageant (“So It Goes”, “Happen” and “Cast Your Spell”), vague dementia (“Vertigo”), exasperated social commentary (“Coming Days” and “Acting Social”), and even love, albeit tainted (“The Way It Is” and “Sent With Love”).

about

Actually Dade City, not Tampa, but close enough in the cosmic scheme of things. In fact, one might argue that outer space is closer than Tampa is. Still trying to save the world, whether it wants to be or not. These records should help with that, at least a little bit... ... more
